Position: Postpartum Doula
Location: Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas (Surrounding areas as well)
Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Shifts: Overnight and Daytime Shifts Available
We are looking for compassionate and experienced Postpartum Doulas to join our team and provide essential support to new families during the postpartum period.
Responsibilities:
Provide physical, emotional, and informational support to clients during the postpartum period.
Assist with newborn care, breastfeeding support, education, basic meal preparation, and light household chores.
Offer guidance on infant soothing techniques and postpartum recovery for the birthing person.
Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Communicate effectively and promptly with clients, colleagues, and other professionals involved in client care.
Complete all necessary documentation and reports.
You must be available to provide the contracted services in person and have reliable transportation.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Postpartum Doula from a recognized training organization or on the path to acquire certification.
Infant CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
Pass a background check.
Demonstrated experience in postpartum care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality.

Assist clients in creating and executing birth plans.
Attend prenatal and postpartum visits and provide continuous support during labor and delivery.
Advocate for clients’ birth preferences and collaborate with healthcare providers.
Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Communicate effectively and promptly with clients, colleagues, and other professionals involved in client care.
Complete all necessary documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Birth Doula from a recognized training organization or on track to acquire certification in the near future.
CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
Demonstrated experience in birth support.

Willingness to complete certification training from a recognized organization.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality (training will be provided).
